✨ Meet Dexter the Brave, our Little Hero ✨
Dexter is a small terrier cross, around 7 years old, and he’s had a very difficult few months. Despite this, his cheerful personality shines through, and he has quickly become a favourite with everyone who meets him. 💛
When Dexter arrived at the rescue in mid-August, he had already lost his right eye. We don’t have any medical history, but it appeared the surgery had been recent. Sadly, not long after, we noticed problems with his remaining eye.
In early September, an eye specialist diagnosed him with a luxated lens – a condition where the lens moves out of place. Brave Dexter underwent surgery to remove the lens, and while his vision will always be limited, we are hopeful he will regain some ability to detect shapes and light.
Dexter is currently being fostered by one of our wonderful volunteers and is doing incredibly well. His tail never stops wagging, and he has shown nothing but gentleness and resilience. He also won over all the staff at the specialist clinic!
Despite everything, Dexter is the gentlest soul. He adores people, melts hearts everywhere he goes, and is always ready for a cuddle. 🐶💖
Now Dexter needs what he truly deserves: a forever home with someone who can give him the love, patience, and understanding he needs.
Ideally, his new family will have experience with partially sighted dogs.

* Initially he can be unsure around some dogs, likely due to his sight issues.
* He enjoys chasing cats, so he needs a cat-free home.
