Blossom was originally saved in 2019 from awful conditions. She went on to find a loving home and they worked with her to help her overcome the bad start she’d had.
Sadly, due to a recent change in their family circumstances she’s found herself back in our care and looking for her forever home once again.
Her previous owners advised that she is very clean and well-behaved in the home, she travels and walks well and is gentle taking treats. She doesn’t have separation anxiety, loves her toys and her favourite place is the beach. These are all things we can attest to – well, except for the beach, but she does love our local woods and fields.
Blossom is cuddly but only once she gets to know and trust you. As an independent girl she likes to her to have her space and will want you to respect her boundaries, but that doesn’t mean she won’t enjoy a scratch under the chin or behind her ears when you first meet her.
She can be guarded at meal times but takes treats nicely on a walk and her guarding issues can be worked with once she trusts you. She can also be cautious of new people but does respond well to the new volunteers that come to walk her. She’s uncomfortable around children, can’t live with cats and would need to be the only dog in the home.
Our volunteers have reported that she is a lovely dog to walk. She’s not reactive, doesn’t pull and is an absolute pleasure to spend time with. She was also absolutely fine when she was walked with another big dog.
Blossom is truly deserving of a second chance to find her forever family and being able to put her hard start behind her.
